With today’s economy, jobs are scarce. No matter what the news reports as the number jobs available, you and I know it’s different when you walk outside your door. You can’t help but think, ‘Really? Where’s that at?’ Over the past few years, I have heard and seen countless numbers of friends who have lost their jobs due to company downsizing, budget cuts, and various other reasons. They have had to fight for unemployment and take jobs with major pay cuts in order to make ends meet. Or worse, if they still have a job, the amount of hours worked is cut drastically, reducing the amount of their take-home pay.
Let’s be real: having skills outside of just having a degree is what it takes to make it today.
