New Releases, Discounts and Freebies!!!

Hi lovely readers!! It’s been a minute. Sorry I haven’t been around much. With the closing of one of my publishers, it’s been hectic finding new homes for my books and figuring out my next step. I had hoped to have all my work released through Secret Cravings Publishing and it was disappointing and sad when it shut down. So I decided to just self publish some of them and others to just place on hold for a while.  Some of you readers aren’t to happy to have some books discontinued but I promise I will have them out to you as soon as I possibly can.

Here are the new links for the books self-published: Love Her Right, Because I Love Him and as a book bundle (for the time being) The Albury Affairs.

Authors Tell All- Susan Fisher Davis

Susan Fisher-Davis

Susan was born and raised in a small town in the western part of Maryland surrounded by the Appalachian mountains. She moved to Tennessee in 1996 with her husband and two children. She’s been writing for as long as she can remember. In April of 2014, she signed a three year contract with Secret Cravings Publishing. She is currently writing two different series. The Men of Clifton Montana which will be nine stories and The Bad Boys of Dry River will be six stories. Although it is best to read the stories in order, all can be read as stand alone. Excerpts from her books can be read on her webpage: susanfisherdavisauthor.weebly.com
She would love to hear from her readers and promises to answer all email:

I’m a romance writer for Secret Cravings Publishing. I’m in the process of writing two separate series. The Men of Clifton, Montana and The Bad Boys of Dry River, Wyoming. The books are contemporary western erotic romance. Each book can be read as standalone novels, but it is good to read them in order to get a feel for the future characters.

The first book I wrote was JAKE Men of Clifton, Montana Book 1. That one was published August 20, 2014. I have a book released every two months with the series alternating. My next book out will be COOPER Bad Boys of Dry River, Wyoming Book 3. Due for release September 22, 2015. Excerpts from books available now can be read on my webpage. www.susanfisherdavisauthor.weebly.com

I have always wanted to write. As far back as I can remember. My mom got me started on Harlequin Romance books. I made fun of her for reading them. She told me to just read one and I did. That was all it took. I was hooked. I fell in love with Janet Daily and Sandra Brown. I would read two/three books a week. I was more than hooked on those romance novels.

One night, I was reading one by an author I’d never heard of and I was really disappointed in it. I closed it down and my husband asked me what was wrong. I told him the book was terrible and I could do better than that. He said “Then do it” So, I decided to try. I sent in so many submissions and received so many rejection letters, I could wallpaper the White House. I actually gave up for a year and then I decided to follow my dream and try again. Through Avon Romance’s website, authors can post a chapter or two of a book they’re hoping will appeal to Avon. Mind didn’t, but I did meet a wonderful editor through the site. She told me my story had appeal but it needed work. She agreed to help me and JAKE was born! I submitted to five publishers and three wanted the story. I decided to sign with Secret Cravings and I’ve never regretted it. I can’t imagine what I’d be doing now if I hadn’t given it just one more shot. I love what I do.

New Release, Cover Reveal and just HI!!!

Happy Monday book lovers!!! Today is an exciting day for me. My second single novella drops today and I’m both excited and nervous as to how it will be received. Because I Love Him, my first single novella which came out last month has being doing great since it’s release (Thank you ❤ ) and I’m hoping for the same for Love Her Right.

So, how about a little intro?

Love Her Right is a Black Man White Woman Interracial Romance, happy for now and maybe in the future too, kind of story. This is something very different from what I’m used to writing which are HEA (Happily Ever Afters). I’ve written sad stories (Candle Light Series) but still with a HEA (somewhat) and I thought it was time for a change. Hopefully this is a good change.

unnamedBlurb: Jolie Simmons has been dreaming about being Mrs. MacKenzie Masters since she was thirteen. She has been in love with the boy from across the street for years and already has their wedding and their happily ever after planned out. But those plans are derailed two days after her eighteenth birthday when his parents die and Mac leaves to join the air force. Five years later, he’s back to turn her life upside down again. Should she give him a chance, or will he abandon her and break her heart again?

On other exciting news, the third book of the Dukkha Fate Series, Tide Of Fate finally has a cover! Like always Dawne did a great job with it, I couldn’t be happier.

The Dukkha Fate Series is a Werewolf Shifter Interracial Romance series. The Beginning (free series preview on all sites) is the very first book I ever wrote. Ever!!! So this series is pretty close to my heart. I discovered my love of writing as I was hesitantly toying around with the idea of an Interracial paranormal romance.

Tide Of Fate is the bridge between the first two and the second two books in the series. So much happens in Rein’s of Fate and Fate’s New Dawn and it’s all because of the night Ash and Lee meet in Fate Reborn. That night changed Lee’s fate completely giving her a new path. In the intro of the books, I spoke of there being magic, it only comes up at the end of Tide Of Fate, all because of Ash.

The danger they face in the first two books is like kid’s play compare to what they will be facing in the last two. To say I’m excited to write them is an understatement. I’m uber excited and freaked about delivering these last two books as expected by fans.

Here is the cover…

Penhallow Train Incident by M.S. Spencer

Thank you so much for having me at your blog to talk about my new release, the Penhallow Train Incident, Christina.

Griffin Tate, hero of my new mystery romance the Penhallow Train Incident, is a retired Middle Eastern history professor and becomes ensnared in the search for a fictional map to the Queen of Sheba’s tomb. Now, it’s uncertain whether the Queen of Sheba ever existed, or where the land of Sheba was, but according to the Bible, the Ethiopian Book of Kings, and many legends throughout the Middle East, she came from a nation in the south to meet with King Solomon. Some have identified her with Meroe, , whose queens were called Candace by the Greeks. That Nile civilization lasted from the ninth century BC to the fourth century AD, but if she did in fact visit Solomon, it would have been in the tenth century BC. In the Penhallow Train Incident, Meroe and its explorers play an intriguing role in the mystery. Included in the cluster of Sheba map pursuers is the inimitable George Hamdani, whom we meet in this excerpt.

BLURB:
In the sleepy coastal Maine town of Penhallow, a stranger dies on a train, drawing Rachel Tinker, director of the Penhallow Historical Society, and Griffin Tate, curmudgeonly retired professor, into a spider’s web of archaeological obsession and greed. The victim’s rival confesses that they were both after a map to the Queen of Sheba’s tomb, and with his help they set out to find it. Their plans are stymied, however, when a tug of war erupts between the sheriff and a state police detective who want to arrest the same man—one for murder and one for bank robbery. It falls to Rachel to solve both crimes…and two more murders, if she is to unlock the soft heart that beats under Griffin’s hard crust.

EXCERPT (G): WE MEET GEORGE

As she trudged up the cellar steps to her kitchen, she noticed light coming from under the cellar door and smelled something alien—cigar smoke? When the cat wasn’t at his usual post by the Friskies, Rachel felt a frisson of fear run up her spine. Too many deaths, too many conspiracies floating around. She didn’t need any more mystery. Her throat constricted, she croaked, “Who’s there?”

From the living room came a deep voice. “It’s me, Rachel. Didn’t you see my car?”

“Griffin!” She went in. “I came in the back way and—”

Sitting on the couch was her erstwhile lover, in a beautifully tailored navy suit that rendered her breathless. Next to him sat an enormously fat man, his olive brown face concealed by a magnificent moustache, his small, black eyes both cold and anxious. A large cheroot smoldered in a saucer on the coffee table.

One man jumped to his feet. The other, with much groaning and wheezing, pushed himself off the couch and extended a mammoth paw. Griffin said, “I’d like you to meet George Hamdani, of the Institut Français d’Archéologie. He’d like asylum.”

****

“Pardon me?”

Hamdani looked from Rachel to Griffin, confusion writ large on his face. Griffin coughed in vexation. “You heard me, Rachel. You do know what asylum means, don’t you? If not, may I direct you to the dictionary?”

Rachel kept her own irritation on a tight leash. “Griffin Tate, I do not appreciate your tone. Nor do I appreciate being treated like some sort of…of church.”

“Church? What are you talking about?”

“You know, sanctuary.”

“Sanctuary is different from asylum.”

“In what way?”

“Well, for one thing…wait a minute. You’re just trying to distract me from the issue at hand. Are you or are you not going to take George here in?”

Rachel surveyed the mountain that was George Hamdani. Perspiration beaded his forehead and he seemed to be having trouble catching his breath. “No.”

Hamdani latched a pleading hand on Griffin’s arm and spoke with an unfamiliar accent. “My dear professor, cannot you be more agreeable? I am in great need of this beautiful lady’s help.”

“I’ll try.” Griffin made a herculean effort and produced something approaching cordiality. “Forgive me…Miss Tinker. I guess I wasn’t making myself very clear. I meant only that George here needs a place to stay for a bit. Until we sort things out.”

His forced smile did not fool Rachel. “Things?”

“Before we get into that, he hasn’t eaten in two days.” Griffin nodded toward the kitchen. “As you may have surmised, he’s not equipped to fast for very long.”

Really? I’ll bet he could go a year. “Certainly. Can I get you something to eat, Mister Hamdani?” With any luck the sarcasm dripping from her lips would puddle under Griffin’s feet and he’d slip in it.

Griffin deftly avoided the trap. “Thanks. I’ll have a sandwich. George? What can Rachel get you?”

Hamdani nodded enthusiastically. “You are very kind, Miss Tinker. I am devastated to be coming to you in this precipitate manner. When my circumstances improve, it will be my very great pleasure to make it up to you in any way you desire.”

Well, when you put it that way…”I may have some chicken salad. I’ll go check.” She opened the refrigerator and took out a Tupperware container, lettuce, and bread. Griffin came in and retrieved two plates from the dish rack. As he carried napkins and glasses from the cupboard, he whispered to Rachel, “Thanks for doing this. You’ll understand why it’s important in a minute.”

She punched him to hide the mushy smile that crowded out her aggravated scowl. “Beer?”

“Perfect.”

Rachel opened three bottles while Griffin took the sandwiches to the dining room table. One glance at the delicate Duncan Phyfe straight chair and another at Hamdani’s humongous behind and she pushed the ottoman toward him. “You’ll be safer on that.”

Hamdani nodded gravely and sat down.

She waited while the men wolfed down their food. “Okay, spill.”

Griffin wiped his mouth with a napkin. “George is from the Institut—”

“You told me that. He’s not French though, is he?”

The big man beamed. “No, no. Although French is my second language. English, alas, is only my third. No, I’m from the most beautiful country in the world, the land of the spreading cedar, of blue Mediterranean waters, of snow-frosted mountains.”

“And that would be…”

“Lebanon, of course.”

Not one to let a paean throw her, Rachel addressed Griffin. “And?”

“Oh right.” Griffin gulped down his sandwich. “I’ll cut to the chase. He witnessed the murder and is afraid if he comes forward he’ll be considered the prime suspect.”

“Which murder?”

His eyes popped. “Which…Oh right, I forgot about the woman. No, I mean Omar Masri. George saw him shot.”

“Does he know who did it?”

“No. He was watching Masri through the window and saw him fall.”

Excerpt

“Crazy Lori, what brings you to my neck of the woods?”

Loraine wasn’t sure exactly what kind of reception she would receive from Reno. More than disgust, she dreaded being pitied and it truly surprised her when he spoke to her like that night never happened. She was speechless, watching that come hither smile play on his lips like they were back to their seductive banter.

The man should have been an actor, not even his eyes gave him away.

“Ah, Melody has some business with you and I thought I’d tag along for a free vacation.”

Reno nodded, looking behind her for a moment before his eyes settled on her again. “Did she tell you why she’s here?”

Loraine wasn’t sure how Melody wanted to handle brokering the subject with Reno so she thought best to keep that information to herself and be as vague as possible.

She shrugged. “Something about a business proposition for you.”

He nodded. “You want to take a walk with me?”

Loraine blink a few times, a little confused at what was going on. “Ahh, sure?”

He pointed to her feet with his chin. “Take you sandals off.”

“Why?”

His brow rose. “Do you always have to argue? Just do it.”

Loraine fought the urge to stick her tongue out at him and slid off her sandals. “Fine.”

“Now, come closer to the water—don’t you dare ask me why or I’ll dunk you!”

Loraine would have asked why just to annoy him but the look in his eyes told her he was serious about his threat. She stepped closer to the water and closer to him with a patronizing smile. “Is this close enough?”

He chuckled, shaking his head and began walking away, leaving her behind. “Do you need me to tell you to follow too?”

“No!” she yelled, jogging to catch up with him. “I can take the hint.”

“Yeah, you’re just slow in processing it.”

She punched his shoulder as hard as she could and yelped at the pain from the contact.

“Ouch,” he said with a boring dry tone, not even bothering to look at her. He didn’t even flinch!

Loraine rubbed at her knuckles. “Yeah right, you didn’t even feel a thing. Do you eat rocks for brunch because you shouldn’t be that hard, it’s just not normal?”

He laughed and the sound made the butterflies in her belly flutter.

“No, I don’t eat rocks.” He took her injured hand and massaged her knuckles. “You should be careful next time. Here let me kiss your boo boo and make it better.”

“I’m not a child…” she began to grumble when she caught his darkening eyes as he lifted the back of her hand to his lips.

Breath caught in her chest as she watched his lips lower to her knuckles. When they came in contact, her eyes fluttered shut and she sucked in a breath. He kissed it lightly, running his lips then the tip of his tongue over her knuckles before he planted another soft kiss.

“Better?” he whispered huskily.

Loraine nodded, unconsciously moving toward him until her chest touched his. He wrapped his free arm around her waist, as the other hand weaved her fingers through his and held them both to his chest. Her head cantered to the side as he lowered his to nuzzle at the nape of her neck. Her body shuddered, pushing closer to his.

“Reno…” she whispered softly, turning her head into his.

“Mmhmm,” he responded, brushing his nose and lips up her cheek to her temple.

Loraine felt her toes curl in the sand, a quiver in her chest as her breaths grew heavy. “Thank you.”

When he stopped what he was doing, she thought she’d ruined the moment by bring that night up, that is if he knew what she was referring to when she thanked him. She hoped he didn’t.

He kissed her temple and began moving in a circle, in a slow dance. “You’re welcome.”

She nodded, blinking back tears. She went on her tip toes and pressed her soft cheek to his rough one. He tightened his hold on her waist and lifted her up, supporting her.

She felt his breath on her ear before he spoke. “Any time you need me Lori, I’m right here. Don’t ever forget it.”
